About me

I write both comedy and drama for stage, screen, and radio. Currently, I’m under option with Dancing Ledge Productions with my TV thriller series about a women’s refuge.

Over the years my writing has changed, but overall I’m interested in outsider stories, rites of passage, and the exploration of power and identity. I enjoy bringing hidden stories, especially women’s, to life.

I’m not just a writer, I’m a disability support worker too. I’ve also worked in SEN education and with various charities in the past. I founded and facilitated The Women’s Playgroup (a creative arts group for women survivors of violence) as well as healing circles and retreats. I find these aspects of my life deeply rewarding.

Currently, I’m developing a full length play THE SISTER’S OF THE MIDNIGHT BERRIES about homelessesness (I’ve had experience of street sleeping) with Salford Art’s Theatre. I’m also under option with Dancing Ledge Productions with my series about a women’s refuge too.
